Will the booster decks be made available as individual add-ons?
No. In order to keep shipping and logistics prices down, we won’t be offering booster decks as add-ons during this Kickstarter campaign. However, we are working hard to ensure that all four booster decks (the Kickstarter deck, and booster decks 1, 2, and 3) will be available for individual purchase on beziergames.com during fulfillment next summer.

How many cards are there? What size are they?
The cards in The Game Makers are standard poker size (63.5 x 88.9 mm)
The Gamer Pledge = 216 cards (54 x 4) The Completionist Pledge = 378 cards (54 x 7)

Is there a card list available anywhere?
Not yet.

Tariffs?
Due to the volatile climate surrounding tariffs, we will not be charging cards for shipping & tariff fees in the pledge manager until nine weeks prior to fulfillment.
US Backers: If tariff rates remain as they are now, we expect them to be around $15 USD. However, we think it is likely that tariffs will decrease significantly in the next few months, before we ship. If tariff rates change between now and then, updated costs will be reflected in the pledge manager.

Will Completionist backers get BOTH the regular components and the Component Pack?
Yes. Backers at the Completionist Pledge Level will receive both sets of components & both sets of components will fit inside the game box.
The Blinged Out Component Pack includes: ● a set of Level 1 Meeples - Ghost ● a set of Level 1 Meeples - Alien ● a set of Level 2 Meeples - Mad Scientist ● a set of Level 2 Meeples - Robot ● a set of Level 3 Meeples - Panda Skeleton ● a set of Level 3 Meeples - Panda Astronaut ● a set of Christmas Trees ● a set of Level 1 Plastic Buildings ● a set of Level 2 Plastic Buildings ● a set of Level 3 Plastic Buildings ● a set of Level 1 Dice ● a set of Level 2 Dice ● a set of Level 3 Dice
The exact amounts of each set of components is still being determined; however, the Blinged Out Component Pack is not meant to completely replace the dice, plastic buildings, meeples, and trees. These “blinged out” components are meant to add a bit of fun and cuteness to the game.

Is there anything special about the extra dice?
The dice in The Game Makers are not standard d6. The dice have the following pips:
Level One - 1, 1, 2, 2, 3, 4 Level Two - 2, 3, 3, 4, 4, 5 Level Three - 3, 4, 5, 5, 6
In addition, these dice are sized differently. There are 12, 14, and 16mm in size. Level Three is 16mm, which is typically considered as a “standard” size.
Through our extensive playtesting we’ve never needed more than 6 dice even at the 6-player count; however, it is possible that 6 dice is not enough for a game. The Game Makers does take up a considerable amount of table space. Although we found we didn’t mechanically need more dice, we did discover that some players preferred to have more dice so that they’re not constantly reaching across the table.
The Component Pack offers players more dice, additional themed meeples, additional themed trees, and extra plastic buildings.

Will this game be available in other languages?
The Game Makers is language independent. We should mention that the vast majority of the games within Game Makers use their English language covers.
We also have a lot of interest from other publishers to bring The Game Makers to other languages but we have not signed any contracts at this time.

The game box will be the same for both the Gamer Pledge and Completionist Pledge.

Can I get pledge manager access for $1?
No. For this Kickstarter campaign, pledge manager access will only be granted to backers who back at the minimum $10 level. Backers at this level will gain access to the pledge manager and may upgrade their pledge to Gamer or Completionist once surveys go out.
Keep in mind that pledging at the Pledge Manager Access level will not give you access to Kickstarter’s new Pledge Over Time feature. (See Shipping for more details.)
Why $10? Ideally, a pledge manager access pledge level is designed for a backer who is interested in the Kickstarter campaign, but for whatever reason, does not want to fully back. This customer still wants to join the experience, such as read all the updates, and eventually gain pledge manager access. We would love everyone at this level to fully back The Game Makers.
Previous campaigns show that the best ways to motivate a pledge manager access backer to become a full backer is through stretch goals, early bird incentives, and Kickstarter exclusives. We chose not to implement these methods in this Kickstarter campaign as they would either make shipping estimates much more difficult to assess thus further complicating logistics issues or further complicate the production process that already involves a game that includes over 700 individual components. Unfortunately, shipping, production, and logistics have already become even more complicated due to tariffs.
Thus, an increase in the pledge manager access pledge level was chosen instead as a way to help motivate backers at this level to fully back the game. The Game Makers has been a labor of love for us and our over hundred partners involved. We all hope you look over all of the content created by us and the community to help further inform you if The Game Makers is a good fit for your game group and gaming table.

If I order multiple pledges at once, can I save money on shipping.
No. The Game Makers is a massive game. In order to house the well over 700 individual components, the size of the game box is currently set to be 11.81 x 11.81 x 5.91 inches (30 x 30 x 15 cm). This means that each carton will contain only one copy of the game. Most discounts on shipping involve shipping multiple copies of one game in one carton; however, because The Game Makers will be one copy per carton, a discount on shipping is not currently possible. We are always actively looking for methods to provide customers with a better experience. If one does emerge, we will update our backers on our progress.

Is there a retailer pledge level?
No. Bézier Games is not offering a retailer pledge level for this particular crowdfunding campaign.

Will there be a retail edition in the future?
At this time, a retail version of The Game Makers is not planned or scheduled for production.
Due to production costs, it was decided to launch this particular project through crowdfunding to gauge community interest and see which aspects of the game resonated most with gamers. If there were a retail version, it would need to be scaled down significantly and we would hate for any of those beloved aspects of the game to be taken away. Our extensive market research showed more interest in the current version of The Game Makers; therefore, it was decided to focus our efforts into developing this current version of The Game Makers seen in this Kickstarter campaign.

Will the inserts fit sleeved cards?
Yes. Both The factory boards and display case boards are sized to handle most sleeve sizes. The warehouse card slots are designed to fit sleeved cards. The storage solution provided by Game Trayz is also designed to fit sleeved cards.

Why isn't the Giant Panda add-on included in the Completionist pledge?
We get it. Everyone loves pandas. However, in order to keep shipping and logistics costs to a minimum, we’ve limited our add-ons to just the one giant panda and have decided to not include the panda in the Completionist pledge.
The Game Makers is a massive game. In order to house the well over 700 individual components, the size of the game box is currently set to be 11.81 x 11.81 x 5.91 inches (30 x 30 x 15 cm). This means that each carton will contain only one copy of the game.
While the carton can hold one copy of The Game Makers and the entirety of the Completionist Pledge, it also means that there will likely not be enough room to fit one giant panda. In order to keep shipping costs and logistics costs to a minimum, we’ve decided to not include the giant panda in the Completionist pledge.

I live in Canada. What does this mean for me?
We have heard back from our fulfillment partner and have lowered our shipping estimates to better reflect our actual shipping costs.
We are sending a separate boat to Board Game Bliss for them to fulfill from within Canada. While your pledge will be subject to any fees that Canada imposes on imported goods, your pledge will not be subject to US tariffs.

What is BackerKit?
BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!
The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.
How does BackerKit work?
After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.
I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?
The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.
Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.
To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.
How do I update my shipping address?
BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.
When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?
That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.
I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?
As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
By pledging to this project, you agree to conduct all public interactions via Kickstarter's communications channels with this project and our team and other backers in a positive manner. Harassment, name-calling, or attempts to inject inappropriate content into the public communications channels will not be tolerated. Bezier Games, Inc. reserves the right to cancel any pledge. If we ship to the address that you provided in our pledge manager and the package is returned to us as undeliverable you may be required to pay the full cost to ship your reward again to a revised address. If we ship your reward to the address you provided in our pledge manager and the package is lost or stolen after delivery, and you wish to have the order fulfilled again, you may be required to pay the full cost to ship the order to a revised address in addition to the amount of the original reward including any add-ons and other upgrades on your order. If we ship the reward to the address you provided in our pledge manager and the package is held in customs or by any other government agency, our ability to help may be limited. You may be required to contact your customs agency or government and arrange for the package to be cleared and released at your expense. We are not responsible for any fees levied against your pledge by customs or any government agency. We are not responsible for any refunds or re-shipments for packages held by customs or a government agency. Other than as noted elsewhere in these terms & conditions, if any part of your order cannot be fulfilled for any reason Bezier Games, Inc. will provide you with a pro-rated refund for that portion of your order. If you do not accept these terms, please do not pledge on this project but instead wait to purchase a game directly from beziergames.com (there are no guarantees we will have extra copies for sale, but we try to order extras for that purpose). If you have questions or concerns about these terms & conditions please email [email protected] for further information. Thank you!
