TREE HUNTING
You've been giving us such great feedback that we thought we should ask for more. We are going tree hunting and would love to hear from all of you.
The Completionist Pledge includes the Component Pack, which includes extra dice, extra plastic buildings, additional thematic meeples, and more importantly (in terms of this particular update) Christmas trees!
The trees have gone through a long development process.
We knew from the beginning that we wanted wooden trees; however, we weren't entirely sure how they should look. We went through a few cycles before landing on what you see above. At one point, there were abstracted as wooden green cones.
The above tress were 3D printed for our internal prototype. The final trees from Panda Game Manufacturing will look similar but will be made entirely out of wood. The wooden trees will have two coats of paint. The top "leaves" section will be green, but the base "trunk" section will be dark brown.
When it was decided to create Christmas trees, we weren't sure how to proceed. One variant had cone like trees with a sticker wrapped around. The sticker would have ornaments and garlands/ribbons printed on it. These did not come out as well as we had hoped.
We ended up going with using the same tree shape, but we added a star on top and added glitter spray on the trees. When we received two samples: one green tree and one white tree.
Which Christmas tree do you prefer?
Are you Team Green or Team White?
You may notice a slight glossy look to the trees. This is from the coating over the glitter spray (and the lights in our studio being brighter than normal). This way you won't have a game box with little bits of glitter in every corner. Do you prefer the classic green tree, or do you favor the snow covered trees?

Good News, Solo Gamers!
Design and development of The Game Makers’ solo variant is already well underway and will be designed by Jay Bernardo with Dávid Turzci.
Dávid Turzci(as many solo gamers know) is renowned for his solo game design. In fact, several games he has worked on are already included in The Game Makers such as Anachrony, Voidfall, and Nucleum.
Jay Bernardo is well-known for not only his development and marketing work with Bézier Games but also for his YouTube channel, Cardboard East, where he talks about board games from East Asia. Jay has developed several games during his time at Bézier Games including Seers Catalog, Rebel Princess: Deluxe Edition, Rebel Princess: Happily Never After, Scream!, Xylotar: Unhinged, Zombie Princess & Haunted Mouse.
While we can’t share too many details on the solo variant just yet, we can tell you the following:
it will integrate the board game manufacturing theme
it will not be a “beat your highest score” variant
all components needed for the solo variant will fit inside the game box
we will update you on our progress throughout the campaign
We are thrilled with the direction the solo variant is heading and look forward to sharing further details with you in future updates.

We have been completely overwhelmed by not only your support but also your engagement! We asked for a tiny list of some of your favorite games to add to Booster Deck 3 and you did not disappoint!
While it’s way too early to announce what games will be included in Booster Deck 3 (Remember Renée still has to reach out to those publishers.), it’s not too early to reveal a few things that caught us off guard.
The vast majority of games that received multiple requests were already included in The Game Makers! This means that we were on the right track months ago when reaching out to publishers.
The vast majority of the hundreds of games nominated were unique, meaning that you might have been the only person to nominate that game.
Over 90% of the games nominated, we had heard of and/or have played.
Our most common reaction was: Yup. That's a good game!
We were also shocked that we had heard of and/or played so many games! We assume this means that everyone on the Bézier Games Team is in the right industry because we all love gaming!
Before we let you go, we need to ask you for another favor!

They don’t need to be strictly solo. They could also be multiplayer or cooperative games that you just happen to also enjoy playing solo.

Many of you have asked about Booster Decks as add-ons. In order to keep shipping and logistics prices down, we won't be offering booster decks as add-ons during this Kickstarter campaign. However, we are working hard to ensure that all four booster decks (the Kickstarter deck, and booster decks 1, 2, and 3) will be available for individual purchase on beziergames.com during fulfillment next summer. (See the FAQ for more information.)
